Winter in Style!

Snow has been falling for the past 24 hours, a pearl white layer is covering the ground and Christmas lights are starting to shine in town! With all this Christmas Spirit surrounding us, my biggest fear is approaching too, and, no it’s not exams, but my WINTER JACKET! I want to stay warm, but I don’t want to look like the Michelin Tire man either!

Wear a sophisticated wool jacket with an evening outfit. I personally like an elbow-length coat; pair it with long gloves for a truly elegant style.

Add a belt to a tweed coat (or any coast you like) to accentuate the waist, as seen on the Chanel runway

Dare wearing a fur coat (or fake fur) coat. When wearing sexy animal prints, keep it simple with basic black under!

For very cold days, consider puffer coats. Pair them with cute tuque and a colourful scarf to stay warm – I love hot pink with white!

Fringe it up!

Fringes remind most of us of the 1920s flapper dresses… however they are making a noticeable comeback, so make sure to give them a try!

Sexy Lingerie!

Winter is officially here! Despite the cold temperatures, some ladies were barely wearing clothes last weekend at the annual Victoria Secret fashion show!

This year the renowned fashion show took place in Miami on November 15 and showcased some sexy holiday lingerie pieces on some of the most popular topmodels in the world. I cannot get over how gorgeous Heidi Klum looked – she is 35 and had 3 kids in the past 4 year!!!

CEO Sharen Turney said that “The theme of the show is a return to glamour”. With a fabulous theme mixed with Victoria Secret sexiness twist and performance by Usher, the fashion show is sure to be a success this year… yet again!

3,500 guests assisted to the show presented at the Fountainbleau Miami Beach Resort Hotel! For those of us who were not on the guestlist, we will need to wait until Wednesday December 3rd to see the fashion show on TV.

Accessories are a must-have! They can really bring the “WOW” effect to an outfit. A black turtle neck and jeans paired with a skinny patent leather belt, chandelier earrings and fuchsia flats make for a stylish look.

I’ve never been a huge fan of Mrs Beckham! I was more of a Baby Spice fan in the 90s. However, I cannot deny the talent of this business woman.

She can pretty much wear anything like those questionable no heels shoes at the her fragance launch in September.

If you are interested in the no-heels style, check out Antonio Berardi designs.

I do not always agree with her clothing choices, but find admirable how fierce and fearless her style can be.

After being the face of Marc Jacobs Spring 2008 campaign, which turns out to give pretty cool pictures, Victoria will now star in Emporio Armani underwear campaign lauching in Spring/Summer 2009…

You cannot go wrong with the biker jackets: chocolate brown or black (cannot go wrong with the classical black leather, or faux-leather for smaller budget jacket.)

Pair it with a girlie flower dress for a boho style or with straight leg jeans, a simple t-shirt and a nice scarf to go to classes.

Or dress it up like LC with dressed plants or pencil skirt paired with a silky top.

 

Comme des Garçons for H&M

H&M is simply a paradise on earth for the shopping addicts. Perfect opportunity to follow fashion trends season after season without going bankrupted.

I can always find something when I go there… even if I really, but REALLY, doesn’t need anything… I always leave the store with at least 1 or 2 items! It’s so cheap and would be a waste to just leave it there… no?

In the past year, H&M proved to be a leading force in the fashion industry with its partnership with famous designers, such as Roberto Cavelli, and the use of supermodel, like Daria Werbowy to promote the brand and enhance H&M image.

H&M is now launching a collection with the super edgy, avant-garde Comme des Garcons label.  Started in 1969, Comme des Garcons became more and more popular in the 80s for its head-to-toe black assymetrical clothes.
